PIP or Resign what to choose?

Tomorrow I have a discussion with manager and HR regarding 2 options. Btw, I have NI rating in last cycle due which the discussion is there also I am on bench since 13 months. I had took voluntary release from my earlier project. Now option 1 is to take 5 months of advance pay and resign tomorrow. This will provide me a normal relieving letter mentioning that i already served my notice period and tomorrow is my last working day. Option 2 is to choose for PIP where I have to be at office for 9.5 ours daily, i have achieve specific goals provided by them and then it will be organisation’s decision to continue with me or to terminate. I have started to look for jobs outside but as I am not much prepared, i will need 2-3 months or may be more to get a new job. Idk how much time it will take. I have 2 years and 9 months experience at infosys, I joined as fresher. I am learning Palo alto firewalls and network security is my domain.

Please provide me with ur suggestions.

Take 5 months salary. But I doubt they will give you a full salary but only based salary. So think wisely

That's sad bro 🥲. I also joined infy as a lateral on7th April 2025. And I am on bench ( from 2 months ). So is there any chance that they put me on PIP as I am not allocated to any project. Pls share your experience bro.

It will be 5 months of basic pay. This option is good if you are confident to crack interview outside and join next employer. If you stay back, your manager may have already decided to make you a scapegoat because you are on the bench for a long time and you will be laid off anyways. So think, do the math and decide. I hope you get thru this situation soon. All the best

How sure are you about finding a job in 5 months, if quite sure, resign and hit your next job ASAP. This second option seems to be a bit people dependent - not only you but who all are involved giving you targets, how good they are at evaluating people not screwing them, and yes how good these goals you say are for your career. Atleast if you choose option 2 make sure the goals are worth your current expertise and will have good. Future value

I’m not judging, but you’ve been on the bench for the past 13 months, and now you’re saying you might need another 2–3 months to prepare for a new role. Given the timeline, that seems quite unlikely and concerning.

Can I resign if I have been put into PIP

Call it a victim of office politics or anything else, I have been put into PIP. Wanted to ask the grapevine community if a person is allowed to resign during the pip period. Basically I am planning to use this time to prepare for switch ...
