PIP in ABB india
One of my friends works with ABB and has been put in PIP and has been asked to deliver four tasks in a month . She had some difficult situations at home due to which she was not able to focus at work. Her manager had asked one day before putting her in PIP that will you be taking sabbatical or not.
Is this a planned way of laying off someone ? Also, does anyone know what happens if someone doesn't meet PIP requirements? Will they be terminated immediately? If yes, is it mentioned in her relieving letter that she will is asked to leave due to performance issue ?
She works as a full stack senior developer with a package of 23 LPA and has recently got hike and her new CTC is somewhere around 30 LPA.
