People with long commutes, what is stopping you from moving closer to office?
Like for us growing up, it was just being unable to afford closer to the better areas where office/good colleges would be. Now, just curious what stops most of us, given we are usually more privileged

I was house hunting in Marathahalli last month(My office is in Bellandur which is a bit expensive and has water logging problems during mansoon). It used to be a cheap area to live in 1-2 years back.
But now due to return to office policies and new metro line near Whitefield the prices have shot up. Rent for a matchbox size 1BHK is 18K/month. If you go to Electronic city you can get a spacious 2BHK in same or even less rent.
