Paytm Politics

Paytm has become heavily influenced by office politics, where hard work often goes unrecognized or undervalued. Instead of teamwork, there's a culture of people claiming credit for others' achievements and shifting blame for their own mistakes. The environment feels chaotic, like a marketplace where engineers are treated poorly and undervalued.

Unfortunately that's the status quo in most orgs. Human tendency to claim max credit and offload max responsibility. I think - Be selfish, and bold. You're not there to make friends or please anyone. You're there fighting for your position every single day. Be polite but ruthless in claiming your position. And don't take my word for it, see for yourself, the people who are always in limelight irrespective of their contributions are bold and stand their position even if wrong. The sheer confidence alone gets you visibility. Do your homework well so that if people try to belittle you technically or emotionally you're always ready with a swift reply.

P.S. easier said than done :)

Phonepe is not behind that. I was piped in appraisal meeting , gave me 0% hike. And even manager has no proper explanation for pip. I would never recommend anyone to join phonepe. Working 5 days from office , Less pay, no recognition, a lot of politics
