OCD & Marriage, pls help

My girlfriend has developed OCD for cleaninless.

It’s getting intense. Should I leave her or marry her?

I am quite confused? Has anyone married a person having OCD for cleaninless.

Since you have got a thought to leave her, it is better to leave her for her benefit bro.

Is it diagnosed by a professional? Or is she just more organised and like cleanliness more than others?

She has intense cleaning syndrome - like cleaning all the curtains everyday, gets anxious when someone is visiting home fearing contamination and mess etc.

It’s really hard man to keep up with the OCD. Also, what if other person doesn’t have any acceptance- that it is impacting me badly?

One of my relatives has OCD for cleanliness. It has just grown over the years.
Believe me she is a very nice person but it is really terrible to be in her house or even host her. I bet how would their family deal on a day to day basis.

Please discuss it openly with her and persuade her to consult doctor. If she agrees , you have a nice person who prioritize the relationship. Else RUN

I have the opposite problem. I am married to a person who just doesn’t value any cleanliness. Always says “man saaf hona chahiye”. What should I do? Before marriage when I was living alone I am not claiming that the house was always clean but whenever I used get time in a day or two I would clean and used to dedicate one day of my weekend to it if things are piled up. But this person does even believe in bath or changing the clothes also. Whenever I say something that time we will do the cleaning that day and that time but it remains for only that day and that time until I say something again. What should I do?

tell the person about fungal infection which can happen to if he/she doesn't clean. Show the person how it can cut their skin and damage them, then keep running to doctors, scare the person. would be able to customize better if i knew the person is guy or a woman

How it is for you? What do you suggest me?

Leave her and go marry a rock. A rock wouldn't judge you for staying dirty.

Better consult a psychiatrist, it can be symptoms of something bigger. My wife was diagnosed with BPD in 2021, I initially ignored symptoms but later it was unbearable and had to take her to the doctor. Medicine can keep her excessive mood swings in control.

Talk to her about how it is impacting you. And maybe suggest if she can see a therapist.

Bro you can leave her if you're not in a position to support her after marriage and if you're already thinking of leaving. Because OCD is more than cleanliness, it comes with repetitive and compulsive thoughts which makes you clean more and more. She needs professional help. Get married to her if you can handle that and can be there in her healing journey.
