Nvidia Unveils Next-Gen AI Chips at GTC
- Nvidia announced new AI chips, including the Blackwell Ultra GPU, at its annual GTC conference.
- CEO Jensen Huang introduced the Blackwell Ultra, set to ship in the latter half of 2024, with more memory and higher AI processing speeds.
- Nvidia also revealed the Vera Rubin GPU architecture, expected to debut in 2026, and a custom-designed CPU named Vera.
- The Rubin GPU, paired with Vera, will deliver 50 petaflops for AI inference and support up to 288GB of high-speed memory.
- By 2027, Nvidia plans to launch 'Rubin Next', a chip combining four dies to quadruple Rubin’s performance.
