No offer letter just salary breakup doc

Hi ,

Is it new day practice of not providing the detailed offer letter and just giving offer on email with salary break up

Received one offer today, HR is saying you will receive appointment letter post joining

Is it legal? How can one resign base on email and without any legal binding agreement

Thanks

No you cannot. If it's not offer letter, don't consider it as an offer.

Maybe I don't know about small companies but at least they can generate offer letter. This indirectly means you can search for better offer as they have not released offer letter yet.

No they are asking for resignation proof right so we can’t just accept it as is

Ignore that, I had received one such offer in 2023 Jan, and HR said they will release offer letter soon. 3 weeks later they stopped attending calls and neither emails.
