Need Your Opinion – Final Decision Day

I’m at a crossroads and would really appreciate your perspective.

Today is the last day to decide between two job offers: Optum and Lloyd.

Option 1: Optum

Domain leader in healthcare tech

Gurgaon location (close to home)

Project: Payment pipeline (fullstack - Java + React)

Solid learning opportunity

Work-life balance might be a concern (as per someone who’s worked at both firms)

Option 2: Lloyd

Location: Hyderabad

Project: R&D-focused work, primarily in React

Flat structure with less defined processes (can be good or bad)

Moderate work-life balance expected

Open to revising package

Neither role offers international relocation. I’m looking for both time and deep technical growth.

My key question: Will an R&D-focused role (mostly React) help in future transitions to FAANG companies?

Any insights from those who've been in similar situations would mean a lot.
