Need suggestions
I recently joined IBM as Data Engineer (snowflake, ADF, datavault). I got into a project which employs datavault 2.0 and Snowflake.
My work doesn't include much on modelling part or ETL side, it's just that need to implement Business Vault(basically SQL transformation) and would heavily depend on Analyst to provide the logic and I dn't have much knowledge on Business Vault nor Functional knowledge on the data(as I joined as new). Although i have experience implementing Raw vault, I feel implementing business vault a bit tough.
There was one more guy who had 9+ YOE and he got overloaded with work and there was an escalation on him from client side that he doesn't update the Jira board etc. And this guy asked release and got released also.
Now I have to take over his part of work. I'm having second thoughts on leaving project/company.

If the hurdles was on technical things, I'm sure I would face it confidently. But here it's all on the functional knowledge/business domain. Which I lack a bit(as I have joined recently). But my gut says to leave this project and get assigned to some other project.
Note: This is my 3rd project and I never had this feeling in my 2 previous company/project. Infact in my previous project I was lone developer, no one was there to help me on, still I wasn't afraid, but somehow in this project I'm afraid

I would say follow your gut.
I replaced someone who had 7+ YOE and he was the only one who knew what was going on in the project. He asked for a promotion and the project denied. He resigned and now the whole project looks lost.
