Need help with making right career choice
Hi guys, I am currently based in Delhi. Completed my graduation last year in 2024. Joined an IB “FundTQ”, that place was a scam recruited me by simply lying about the job responsibility, they made me just call random numbers to get clients for them. That’s a different frustration I’ll move forward.
The real reason why I am writing this is- I have offer in hand from S&P Global for Loan Syndication Team. The role requires me to go through docs and update system all day so it’s data abstraction and data management.
My dream is to have a career in Investment Banking and later shift to VC or PE.
This fundtq place has already resulted in 1 year gap for me and due to a fight(I questioned why I am not given actual work that I was promised) with the partner I am not having any relieving letter they withheld my salary too. I had to leave for the sake of my mental health.
Because I am having 1 year gap should I take this S&P Global rn or skip and find something I really wanna do?
