Need a suggestion
I'm planning to buy a compact SUV/SUV car around 15L. Currently I'm confused whether to buy the top end model of XUV 3x0 or opting for a lower variant of creta and modifying it. Would love to hear your thoughts on which would be the better choice! Also, if there are any other options I should consider in this price range, please suggest.

If you are a first time buyer, go for Brezza automatic.
If you are a seasoned driver, want to enjoy riding dynamics and quality, go for Kushaq/Taigun
If you want shosha wale features, go for creta/seltos
If you want all round package, go for 3XO top variant
Avoid Nexon(too much body roll) and Grand Vitarra/Hyryder (neither power nor looks).

Also, although i know our roads are kryptonite for SUVs, still if you want, you can consider honda city. Also, another all round package in above suggestion is honda elevate

Brezza has bench sitting for back seat. You won't feel comfortable in those seats. Make sure you consider this

3xO is brilliant to drive. Creta is really good for what it offers at the price. Good mileage, great interior, resale value. Your final choice depends on what is your driving conditions. Ex the roads, traffic etc.
I drive a 3XO ax5 automatic. Needed a sub 4m car for easily maneuvering in traffic but also with a torquey engine. Also a 5 star rated solid car, heavier than creta. Wheelbase is 2600mm while for creta it's 2610mm. So legspace not a issue. Bootspace is smaller than others, but I don't have much luggage to carry. So went for it. If you have any different requirements, go for creta.

Between the AX5L and AX7, which one do you think is the better choice? Since they're in a similar price range

have heard anecdotal feedback on high service requirements and cost of skoda cars. Can anyone share insights here if you own a skoda kylaq or kushaq?

Wouldn’t recommend modifying a new car.. Often factory fitted components have better quality when compared to a chop shop. This may have warranty and insurance consequences as well. If you’re buying used car; then you can go for modifications, imo.
I personally like Skoda Kushaq, the 1.5L GT engine models for their drive quality and sound quality of the speakers are also really good.
3x0 is also a good car. My colleague loves his.
Tried VW Taigun, the steering response was amazing but didn’t find it pleasing for those seeking comfortable rides..

Sorry for the confusion! I meant company-provided add-ons when talking about modifying the base version of the Creta. I've also heard great things about the Kushaq, but I'm a bit concerned about its maintenance costs. Would love to hear your take on that!

Also try Skoda kylaq.

Grand vitara sigma and later on upgrade based on your taste.
Worth every penny, I get a mileage of 18 with AC

Top end of the vehicle you can afford. Always.
