My experience with zoom car was terrible 😔

We had booked a car through Zoomcar for our Mysore trip on April 22, 2024. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The car owner was extremely rude, and the vehicle was not cleaned properly. Additionally, there was a delay of over an hour in handing over the car.

Our trip began after we finally received the vehicle. However, on the evening of the first day while traveling, we were stopped by the police. They asked for driving documents such as the driver’s license, RC, and insurance papers. While my friend provided a valid driving license and Aadhaar card, the car did not have any insurance documents inside.

The police informed us that renting a whiteboard car through Zoomcar is not legal and proceeded to seize the vehicle. Zoomcar did not respond to our calls, and the car owner was initially unresponsive as well. After repeated attempts, he finally shared some documents over WhatsApp, but the police were not satisfied and demanded a fine.

The owner refused to pay, and after struggling with the police for over three hours, we had no choice but to pay ₹2,000 ourselves to retrieve the car and continue the trip. Additionally, we paid ₹300 for the FASTag tolls, which has also not been reimbursed.

This was a terrible experience. The car owner was aggressive and unhelpful throughout. The vehicle was based in HBR Layout, and I sincerely urge everyone to be cautious when booking cars on Zoomcar. Please verify the legitimacy of the vehicle and the behavior of the owner before confirming your booking and you won't get any help or support from.zoom car
