If you are looking for a budget stay with a great community. Check Draper House. Also would suggest to try veg thali at nagarjuna, glean's red velvet cupcakes and Meghan's biryani( if you eat non veg)

Don't stay in hotels. I tried 5 hotels last month and all are bullshit. The only good one I've found was regenta inn. And here in every other hotel you'd have to even pay for water.
You can Airbnb in Koramangala. You'll find a bunch of good options in private, shared rooms up to 2k.
