MoEngage is a horrible company. Stay away!
The culture here is so bad, people are actively looking out across teams. The management and senior folks are just old uncles who like to work the old way, and don't listen to young blood. Probably why MoEngage comes across as so boring. Coming back to the culture: it rewards those who are hostile with their teams, just because they meet their targets. HRs do nothing, besides looking pretty. It's a mess. Stay unemployed, but don't join this horrible place.

I was a data scientist there and worked for one year. I regret every single day I worked there. I had four managers in my career until then, but at MoEngage, I encountered the most evil person in my 4.5-year corporate career. He shouted at me multiple times in meetings, and my teammates were numb. All I heard was criticism about me; I lost confidence in myself. I even considered leaving the corporate world because I felt dumb. Every single day I went to the office, I never looked straight—my eyes were always down. I faced serious mental issues there. This may sound like an exaggeration, but I was frustrated and went to my manager to resign. He told me that he could make things better and asked me to give him another two weeks. Do you know what happened after 14 days? I received an email from HR stating that I had been placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). My PIP discussion meetings on my manager’s calendar were public, and everyone knew; I was ashamed. So, I warn you before joining that place. I narrated the story to HR, lol nothing happened.
I left MoEngage and joined a fintech unicorn, and suddenly that so-called low performer is receiving awards—handling $2 million yearly budget projects with smoothness, just rocking his corporate career with his head held high. So yes, if you are okay with getting depressed and losing all the confidence you have, welcome to MoEngage.
But some good things:
MoEngage helped me increase my base salary from 15 to 33 LPA. After the PIP, I willingly resigned, and they gave me two months’ salary. So, they were not stingy, at least back then.

Crazy so many toxic places in India .. my worst experience was working with a now infamous analytics firm after engineering. Same experience as you

The most horrible company I have ever worked for. I love how you said stay jobless rather than working for them! Culture is a joke in that organisation.
