Micromanagement and trust issues

I worked for almost 8 years in Accenture. In all the projects I have good feedback and impressions. I have joined a new project. Where I logged off 1 hr early in 1 day. He is saying like I was off for half a day and from then onwards whenever I took a 20 to 25 mins break. He is monitoring like what I did for 25 mins am I sleeping or doing some other job. Day to day it is difficult to work under him due to micro monitoring and lack of trust.

Could you please suggest what I can do in these kind of situation. I lost trust in manager and he don't have confidence in me .

People usually start Mico managing when they feel u r doing less work, or u r taking more time for work without any status update. Make sure u don't fall in these 2 categories

Tbh I've seen people who don't fall into these two categories and are still getting micromanaged.
But regardless of reasons I've never seen micromanagement making the situation any better

Manager is not taking daily status. I can do one thing I will add him in work related emails or tell whoever assigns me from functional or onshore I will tell them to add him in email.so that he will have status

Micromanagers rarely change. Try these steps:

Over-communicate: Send daily bullet-point updates (even for small tasks) to preempt scrutiny.

Set boundaries: Calmly say, "I’ll deliver X by Y timeline—let’s sync weekly unless urgent."

Document: Note unreasonable monitoring (HR may need this later).

If it persists, quietly network internally for a project switch.

dont be victim be the culprit if he is micromanaging you, you start micro disturbing him ping him after every 30-45 min and pull him into a call directly when ever he is away or just come online

in call ask him some complicated thing which he doesnt understands
then you ping him if he has any update

and do this for 2 weeks, he will be afraid to call you

simultaneously prepare for switch before next cycle in nobember, most probably he will anyway give you nothing in hike and leave project
