Masters from IIITs or top IITs
Hi guys,
Was asking feedback from folks with workex. Was having some plan to do M.Tech from IIITs or top IITs in DS-AI. MBA is too crowded and risky for GEM candidates. Seeing folks from BLACKI getting unplaced. Lower IIMs are worst. What's your take?

Technical specialist is the only way forward

I am sure that with my workex(it's good for entry level DS, ML models, forecasting and related stuffs), Mtech is good. So, what's your take. As far as GATE is considered, Im sure that it will be cleared. Just asking whether market will accept me or not post MTech.

Avoid MBA

Agreed. It's too much crowded. And with AI, I don't see middle management roles growing(it will be going down). Just wanna ask whether Mtech will be right call or not(work is good, ML models, forecasting)

For DS/AI, M.Tech from top IITs/IIITs is better than lower IIMs—stronger tech focus, better placements. MBA is risky for GEM unless it’s top-tier.

Looking into the same. But not sure how valuable an Indian masters in AI/ML would be. What's your yoe ?

1.5. Assuming IIITH, B or top 3 IITs

I would not suggest MTech (MTech from tier 1 here). Unless you are targeting research role no point of doing MTech at-least now. But surely you can try MS at IISC type institute to get research roles.

But down the line, somewhere I've to. The reason why I'm asking this cuz my undergrad was in a non-circuital branch. And seeing the rapid change in tech, I don't think the normal roles of ML, forecasting and all will remain down the line. Thinking of mtech as more of assurance post 30s, avoiding carrer stagnation; or worst.

Do it, its hard to predict what would market be doing after two years. But investing in education is always better. Being in a good college gives you insights into opportunities you didn't know existed before.
