Lowest 24 hours of my life

Lowest 24 hours of my life. Lost 17 lacs today in under 24 hours in F&O. That was most of my equity investment that I transferred to put in F&O gambling. I come from a middle class humble background so this is my hard earned salary going away.

I can now see how many of my monetary life goals and dreams just vanished in hours.

Sharing here because can’t share with friends and family.

I know it’s my own doing and shouldn’t have done it, but how brutal life can really be.

Anyone with similar experiences (of losing significant money through any medium), please connect - I want to take inspiration on how to pick myself from up here.

I hope I become an example for others who are even considering to get into this F&O shit hole.

You're a Senior Product manager at Amazon and your dreams vanished with 17L? Math is not mathing

I was gonna share my experience but then I read your comment. This guy probably gonna earn it back in like 3-4 months. Compared to me I am on 4lpa. And when this incident happened with me I was jobless

These challenges looks easier and solvable on the outside. This amount is like 6 months of my in hand salary, and i have family & child to look after at my home

Now DO NOT trade in FnO to recover your losses. STOP FnO trading now, it's better late than never

I hope you are okay. Pause trading for a while. Try to get busy elsewhere so you don’t think about it too much. what is done is done. No need of sharing this with friends and family if your financial health is manageable. “This too shall pass”

I've lost nearly 40 lakhs now, and I still can't stop. Tried pausing for 6 months every time after a huge loss but I keep coming back, I don't feel anything more when I see my positions in red

What is your salary man? 17 lakhs for senior product manager in Amazon is less than 3 months take home salary. Your rant is more like as is you have lost 17 crores.

ZippyBoba

6 months take home bro. That is equivalent of being jobless for 6 months.
Equivalent to a new car that I could have bought
Equivalent to almost 3 Years of house rent expenses for me and my family Equivalent to atleast 3 international trips for me and my partner

Problems get bigger when you don’t have any capital/savings left

Sorry for your loss mate. But be happy because you are now in a phase out of deliberation. To be clear, winning in futures is not actually winning as it will go wiped out some other day. This is what happens to people who don't discipline their strategy or approach. So every loss is an opportunity to end that relationship and get away. wise thing is to quit and run. I lost more 50 lakhs over 3 years and put myself in deep pit. I don't want you to do the same

It takes a really strong person to digest that kind of loss and not go back to try and recover that with further gambling. Kudos to you man
