Location change in Accenture
Hi all,
I got an offer from Accenture, but the location is not what I expected. I’m currently in Hyderabad and I recently got married my husband is based out on Hyderabad. He can’t relocate to another location.
But in the Accenture offer, It was mentioned Bangalore. I can’t relocate however I badly want to resign from TCS.
Do you guys think that Accenture would agree for Hyderabad. I already asked for Hyderabad but they said there are no openings in Hyderabad. Can I atleast get WFH. What do you guyss suggest. Kindly help.
Also can anyone tell what would be the expected in hand salary for 12.5LPA(fixed) and 15.3LPA(fixed+variable).

I had Bangalore location assigned to me in the offer letter, but during the entire hiring process I had made clear that I wouldn’t relocate and I was told by the POC who contacted me for salary negotiations that he will be updating my offer letter later on.
Fast forward to then end of my notice period in my previous org. I am still with the same offer letter and the joining is in 2 days. I tried contacting the POC several times and could only manage to get connected to him once in a 10 times that I called. He used to assure me that the location will get changed soon as there’s an opening in my home location - Mumbai
The entire process took another month but I eventually got my base location changed to Mumbai by regularly following up with the POC. And I joined Acc in Oct/24.
I spent the whole month like a short vacation away from all the work (but there was stress definitely)
Current scenario is that, Acc has started return to office, so can’t really say if that makes location change easier or harder…..
How much it will take to send them the revised offer ? Its been 15 days still no revised offer and my joining is on 11th March
You can take projects from Bangalore location and stay in hyderabad as my husband is doing. He went to Hyderabad for onboarding. Later he returned back to bangalore and for internal interviews he mentioned that he is in bangalore and cannot relocate to hyderabad. He got assigned to a project where WFH / Work From Client location is the scenario. After moving to the project, he spoke to his manager and he got transferred to Bangalore.
So basically first get onboarded, clear interview, once you are billable, they will agree for any location. Bangalore and Hyderabad do not make much difference so they agree
Before onboarding do mention to HR that you will onboard at Bangalore but need projects from Hyderabad
Idk why people in comment section are giving you so many false hopes.
Location change after joining is a battle itself. You are switching you career from one company to another. Even one single lie from the end of HR management would affect your life.
If they can change location after you join the project, then they can definitely change it before you join.
I have talked to some HR managers before when i was begging for location change. They directly said YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR IT WHEN YOU JOINED. NOW NOTHING CAN BE DONE.
Anything about location change can only be negotiated before joining.
So, Go ahead and talk to hr for the change of location. Tell them you are a married woman with kids. I cannot change my location to bangalore and leave my everything at Hyderabad.
In 80% cases they would listen to it. But surely lose the hopes to get a transfer once you are allocated bangalore for atleast 2 years.
(WFH is not available anymore, 1 day a week is mandatory in the base office. And it can soon be extended to few more days a week. Dont count on that.)
