Layoffs at Amazon

Read news recently about Amazon being set to lay off again with about 9000 employees.

Hypocritically the same Amazon was found to be hiring a few days back for some roles in Customer Support and a few others.

Amazon layoff My friend got an email stating layoffs have started and people are being contacted on the same!!

Had heard from someone that there were layoffs supposed to happen this week at AWS. Just heard from a colleague that someone they know was asked to leave today.

Does anyone know more?

Am seeing new posts about layoffs at Amazon are these new ? or part of the old one ?
