Laid off 1 month before marriage
I’m feeling blank. My company knew well in advance about my marriage in May but now it’s less than a month to go and they’ve laid me off over a 10 minute call.
I dunno what my fiance will say or will she even consider marrying me. I’ve spent my savings for wedding preparation and hardly have anything left.
I’m feeling lost and left out. Dunno what to do 😞
Speak to your family, her family and her. Be honest. Assure them its a temporary blip and you will be back to work soon. Its important to keep those who matter to you by yourside.
This will be a testing phase for all your relations, network, etc. Real faces will be unmasked, so beware.
Over an above all, don't let your self belief die. Don't succumb to negative stories in friends, extended families, colleagues, etc
Upskill, move sideways or take a stepback, but don't loose self confidence.
Its easier said than done but its your life milestone. Don't let this phase overshadow your happy moments.

Bro, if you don't mind, can you kindly share this 5 star, great place to work company name ?
I'd like to personally add it to my blocklist and blacklist 🙂

Ya dude... Plz mention it.
Will help a lot.

I passed this phase in 2019, was laid off due to office politics by managers who knew my marriage was due next week. I hided the issue with my wife and everyone. There came a day in a life where I did not have money on Diwali night, I was mis- diagnosed with depression due to which I was always on antidepressants.
Finally I got a job after 6 months just before Covid I found supportive team mates did well in my job and performed extremely well.

🎉🥳

Stay strong. This too will pass off.

My husband was at this place before we got married.. couple of months before our wedding he was sacked off.. we just reduced the guest list to the minimal and are still happy together! Just give your fiance a benefit of doubt.. this is your partner who will go through a lot more bigger lows of your life with you. All the best bud!

If it's a love marriage, the girl should definitely stay. But if it arranged, then sorry I don't think any family would agree to marry their daughter to a guy who is jobless currently.
That's how it is. 2 strangers getting married
