Krutrim AI to raise 50M $ at 1B $ valuation
I mean how does this guy do it? He literally has half baked products that are just a copy of products innovated outside India. All the horseshit talk these founders do about innovation.

I think the bet is on the following:
- Vision: They are building a large language model that has been trained in local Indian languages in addition to English. Given the diversity and scale of the Indian market, this represents a significant market opportunity (the use cases here are immense which will be solved)
- Founder profile: Ola and Ola Electric are considerable examples to back him

L Lasan vision… 🙄

Hmm. But, Their product seemed kinda weak and on top of that they are just reinventing the wheel. I have seen many SLMs producing much better quality of outputs than this one (demonstrated on their launch day). And in parallel they are trying to achieve a lot of things at once (eg: AI Training hardware and clean energy)

There is enough cash in the market. They need a horse to bet on.

When you’re rich and famous, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the equity.
When you have something capable of distorting reality they will happily book front row tickets to watch you burn their money trying to build a edtech empire build on false promises Or fancy sounding bullshit to replace fiat currency Or artificial general intelligence Or make humanity a space faring civilization Or maybe even a place of worship....

Pump and dump

Sounds about right. Krutrim means 'artificial'. This is artificially bloated valuation 😄

Early Stage Valuation is a Sales game.

Genuine question, with a large enough knowledge base of fifferent indian languages openai could do what they are trying to better in just a few days, what even is their moat here, i dont get it

Their product seemed kind of weak on the demo day. I'm not sure how they are going to survive the fierce competition posed by tech giants operating in the same space.
