Jupiter Money layoffs
So apparently, Jupiter has started laying off "many" people. Last year people were silently laid off, but this time it's all in the air.
The HR policies have become toxic af! Company just doesn't want employees to be happy, founder is very smart but idk why he is becoming sadist day by day.
I do understand that it's been many years since we raised funds and now the founder wants to reach profitability and that's the whole reason he is forced to do all of this.
What surprises me the most is, people with high salaries are laid off more which obviously makes more sense but some of them were the smartest people Jupiter had.
Someone if you can refer me, please do help also suggest what can I do along with all of this going around 🙏

Sad for people who lost the job but this has become an annual ritual for Jupiter. Performance and impact are important factor. Senior level exits are planned and good practice if they have not been able to make the impact.
The others in the segment should follow suit. Jupiter at least let go of the toxic folks last year itself but the other fintech startup’s have terrible people leaders. The stories are just horrendous.

I see a trend around Jan-Feb, startups start laying-off people so that the startups dont have to part ways with some of their equity which is supposed to be vested for employees, generally around 1st april

Not the case, these people are given severance of 2 months
