Your statement is contradictory. Do u consider now as the normal and 2022 as over hiring period OR is now not normal and 2022 was normal for u?

I am focusing on the reversal of job market from recent layoffs in the past 2 quarters

There’s no reversal… Just frequency of layoff has reduced and some companies are opening up to some hiring. I am presuming that global market has to recover in order for things to get normal and that will take a year or so.

you can consider the covid boom and slowdown as a once in a decade kind of spur & maturity, I guess for me normalisation would mean returning back to precovid era in terms of expectations

Companies are waiting for the natural attrition post salary hikes or lack thereof to take stock and resume layoffs q2 onwards

I think a few more orgs will do layoffs in upcoming months. Hope things would normalise by Q4 23 or earlier
