The way I see it . Timelines may be longer
In 3 years Devin will become good enough to replace junior devs 0-3 yrs experience
3-5 years - Few senior devs will also get replaced
After 5 years , a typical team will have 2 senior engineers who will train or correct code written by devjn . 3 devins and 2 senior engineer will be the typical composition of the team.
My honest take: Let a robot do robotic work . Humans have not evolved to sit in front of a computer 1/3rd of a day. This so called coding jobs make your life hell without you even realising it. It’s good that AI will do these jobs and let human focus on other meaningful pursuits
