IT professional looking actively.
I have 20 years in IT, working as a Backend Server Side professional. My skill sets are in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, worked in Apache Kafka, ELK stack too. I had been laid off in January 2023, after that been doing some freelance, contract jobs just to get along. But it is becoming really hard to get a permanent one. Have given interviews but no result so far. Would appreciate any help and leads.

What was your TC?

30 lakhs per annum, actually that is also proving to be an issue, some can't pay that much

That’s surprising! Are you applying for a tech role or managerial role. What has been your experience like? From your post, I’m assuming you were on a tech role.

Do you have solid people management, operations mgmt and profit and loss management experience in those 20 years? If not then get them at a smaller company for lower pay. At 20+ hardly any company will employ individual contributors. They need middle and sr level managers. Do you have an mba from a good b school? If not, try getting one

This is 100% True, to add, unless you have genius level skills or something (0.00001%) of coders your technical exp doesn’t mean much, no difference between hiring you and a 10+ YOE grad, create differentiation by having people skills, hard tech skills only will take you so far before it stagnates & there are less experienced people who they can hire for half the cost and 50% pay
