ISRO Successfully Launches EOS-08 Earth Observation Satellite
- ISRO launched the EOS-08 Earth Observation Satellite onboard the SSLV-D3 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre on August 16, 2024.
- The SSLV-D3 lifted off at 9.17 am and successfully placed the EOS-08 satellite into a 475 km circular orbit 17 minutes later.
- ISRO Chairman S Somanath confirmed the successful launch and declared the SSLV development process completed.
- EOS-08 features advanced payloads for IR observation, GNSS-R remote sensing, and UV dosimetry, with a mission life of 1 year.
