From 2-3 months I have been following different companies blogs and find swiggy data science team is quite active and doing a lot of stuff. Is this also the ground reality or just a bluff?
I am asking this as I heard some news that they had layoffed a lot of people.
DS team is pretty much sorted as a platform. They did some amazing work though, as you would have read from the blogs. Currently DS team is doing some optimisations and small feature improvements for the platform components, but layoffs have severely hit the capabilities of building anything from scratch. Most teams are understaffed, and thus only taking very small projects on to their plate. Current focus is mostly on reducing infra spending. Some engineers are loaned to product engineering teams. Even the VP of DS is shared with the Delivery Org.

Could somebody throw some light on Department wise breakup of tech layoffs ?
Someone working in swiggy would broadly know the numbers but nobody has shared.

PIP on the raise at Swiggy, saw couple of post with good fellas leaving. can someone confirm or deny this fact that PIP is used a weapon to downsize the teams in order to show profit for upcoming IPO next year?
