Is Paytm planning to layoff?

Paytm has many openings in product and engineering for at least four to five months. The job posts are even promoted on LinkedIn. However not even a single role is filled and closed. I gave interview for product manager role, received very good feedback, then suddenly after three weeks got a regret mail. Well that is fine but i see all the positions and there at atleast 50 open are not closed for four months. Does any one know what is happening?

Yes it has been happening silently. I was in one of the teams. They dont want any bad PR atm since the company has just declared they are getting profitable.

Were you asked to submit Count of code commits?

My role wasn’t in pure tech.

But the folks at the organisation are such they may have demanded this from coders without realising they can show ample small commits weekly.

Layoff at Paytm

Is there any one from Paytm , who can confirm if there’s a silent layoff happening there. I have an offer as SSE , but have heard from multiple people that work culture is detoriating very fast and almost 20% are undergoing PIP.
