As there is a deal for Paytm selling it for Zomato... hoping it will change from monopoly(Book my show) to other players who are trying to hold some market share on this.. hoping it will make sense starting now. Thoughts?

The challenge isn't starting a booking platform. It's getting users to come buy tickets. If you can't reduce CAC or offer customers/distribution/sales, you can't do anything for event owners.
There are already many such startups, not all are doing well. They mostly focus on niches.
