Is it worth Buying a flat (1.5 Cr) in Bangalore?
I am currently in my mid 30s and I am thinking of purchasing a property near sarjapur road, and currently working as a software engineer in Bangalore, so I want to take the expert opinions of unsung heroes of the finance domain on grapevine. I have already paid the booking amount but still want to make sure I am making the right decision.

After 30 years, the building will be 30yrs old and your kids almost cannot make money if they liquidate property, since value will be hardly 2crore. Kinda liability you are leaving for your kid.
Liability because- Sorrounding areas will be crowded Thr building will be old New builder properties would have popped up in the city for your kids generation

Op can always sell the flat in 10-15 years and move to a newer place.

In 15 years the flat will be 1.5crore 😜

How about purchasing a pre owned flat?
After a few years, there will be little to differentiate between the flat you purchase new now vs if you purchase a 5 years old one.

There is premium you need to pay to market.
The market is in a bull right now.

Can you elaborate? Not sure if what you're saying is a metaphor.
Do you foresee price correction? That rarely happens. Builders rather keep their inventory unsold than reduce prices.

Try reddit, u might get better inputs for this topic. RE in India seems like worth but u need to tell us why u r buying, ur financial situation and how long u plan on using the flat urself

If it’s from a tier 1 builder I say go for it. If you’re not particular about location, also consider North of Bangalore since a lot of growth is expected there in the next 10 years

Can you elaborate on this "growth in North Bengaluru"?

There’s an Aerospace tech park coming up with a ton of big companies including TI, etc

Buy around Hennur neighborhood if you can. Avoid Sarjapur road. Lot of old timers in bangalore know there'll be significant water issues there in future, last i checked there are no plans to build cauvery water lines from Harohalli towards Sarjapur Rd. Plus there won't be any Metro in that stretch for the foreseeable future. Take your time to research some more before finalizing

Bangalore will expand like crazy over the next 30 years. People said the same to mumbai and navi Mumbai and see how much those cities have expanded.
If you are going to stay in bangalore for 15+ years, go for it.
Builder type : Go for type 1 for reliability.
Area : you r smart to decide. Every Halli has tech park.

YEs, - if this is your first/only house. or if you have a lot of black money.
