Is it okay to ask for referrals on a weekend ?

So, I just came across an opening that I find myself a great fit w.r.t. the JD provided. But it's the weekend now. And I'm not sure if I should wait till Monday for me to DM the recruiter/senior dev working at that company asking for referral. On the other hand, waiting 2 more days might backfire on me as in the past where I had waited, the opening would get closed or removed on a Sunday night and I ended up not applying and losing out on the opportunity. What do you suggest ?
