Is giving Cred/Fold access to mail safe?
Basically the question, is giving access to apps like Cred and Fold money for ease of tracking of your expense safe in long term? I realized I have given access to few such apps and I’m just sitting now and removing them. What measures do you take to ensure your privacy? What are some non-negotiable privacy concerns for you?

Nope.
It stores all emails, not just the credit card ones. I worked at a Fintech and they cud read all SMS (2021)
So make another Gmail and set auto-forwarding of only the credit card statements to that acct and pair it with CRED - Digestable yet clumsy solution
On a long enough timeline, over next 5-10y, some Fintech is going to get acquired, or going bust, or running into cash problem so they are forced to sell data or get a data leak coz they are sub-standard and cheap in cybersecurity or worse, be an outright fraud. And over that timeframe, you are surely gonna make bank and be rich enough pig for some fraudster to target.
The best way is to put your diligent Goldman excel skills to personal use and not open accounts on any Fintechs unless absolutely necessary. If Aadhar and PAN databases can be found on Darkweb, so can CRED/Groww user accounts - just my 2 cents

When I said pig above, I meant as a target for pig butchering scam, not as an insult.
