Is banch aging call for layoff?

I'm on bench for 3 months and today received a mail for a call scheduled for bench anging. Can anyone tell What is bench aging meeting for? Am I going to be asked to resign? And What can I do now if so?

It’s not necessarily a layoff. Most likely, you would be told the following- that you are about to exhaust your bench period. Thus you need to be put in a project. Since there is a shortage of projects on your technology or domain, you are going to put on something else.
