Insecurity on job change

I am working as SDE 2 in Amazon, doing well for now, getting good work however i always have this feeling that one day i may end up losing job due to layoff or anything else and the thing is that in such a scenario i am not at all prepared for job change. I never liked doing DSA or you can say i was never good at it. I did just enough to get an internship at Amazon and then got converted to full time and from there i never touched DSA again.

My question is how to get over this insecurity?

I've seen companies which only hire people based on their work tech stack. I mean , no DSA , they just hire you if you're good at what you do and it is what they're looking for.

And also since you're already working as an SDE2 at Amazon , I think many companies would easily skip the DSA round and go straight to the technical discussion round

Not really. Very few companies would skip it, especially the companies that would be able to hire a SDE 2 from Amazon.

@MagicalSymphony correct and companies especially interviewers will even try to ask non trivial DSA considering Amazon bon resume. And many interviewers of small to mid sized startups are cpers nowadays if they see Amazon they will try to grill straight away

Hey, looking from a different pov, what's your networth? If you lose your job, how long can you survive?
Ideally, losing your job shouldn't matter after a certain point provided you are financially sorted

Conquer your fear? Start spending time on topics you are not good at. Build confidence slowly.

Switch to company and try to find company which will less focus on DSA
