I want to add risk to my portfolio
I’m 37 yo Male. My portfolio is 2.5Cr (no liabilities). I’ve been fairly boring and conservative with my investments (large and mid cap mutual fund SIPs). I want to start adding more aggressive investments. Questions:
- how much can I allocate to aggressive bets?
- which assets should I look at. I don’t want to do options, seems beyond my comprehension
- what’s a good cagr to target
- should I work with a money manager?
I’m not an investment expert but I’m not a beginner, just looking for some like minded thoughts.

Nope, do none of that, most money managers are not able to beat Nifty 50 returns, & in return charge a huge fees.
Instead, take some money out, 2-5% & slowly start to analyse some good mid or small caps companies & place bets on them.

Keep it simple, start buying a good small cap fund. Nippon India Small Cap seems the best to me. Please avoid small cap direct stocks, crypto, futures and managers.
Continue to keep it boring, pls! 🙏🏻

During the covid rally I was running my portfolio at 3x. Buy stock, pledge it and buy 2 lot futures. Just roll over future positions every month.
Right now the market is overvalued for risky bets. But you can explore the future/mtf for agressive position.

I don’t think F&O is for me… it’s too risky and needs more time and effort than I’m willing to put in

You can then try SEBI RA services, you can buy their small cases or take stock research service.
Doing individually is very risky, I have seen very few people who are profitable in trading.

Similar kind of portfolio I have at 30. Just crossed 5Cr portfolio but 90% I have allocated to diverse ETFs. 10% I do option selling. I think once you cross a threshold of net worth, it's better to be little conservative. Initial phases I had built from trading but now I have moved more into investments. You can still play around with 10%

If you don't want to spend time researching or take risky bets, then jump in Real estate in a developing City, I live in Bangalore & invested 1.5Cr in a site last year, now valuating around 2.15Cr in 1.4 years.

Kya re tum log paisa paisa paisa paisa, iss se boring aur kuch nahi hai, saala kitna B kaamalo, aur chaiye, aur chiaye, at least learn how to spend and enjoy what you’ve earned for god sake. Sip, mid cap, mutual funds, saala body main ek baar fuse khat gaya na, yeh tera sip, mutual funds, ganta kuch nahi karega, so live the life, before the time is out babu

That's really great number to have at 37. Congo!!
I would like to know few things, if you're comfortable to share: A. In which year did you start investing? B. And what amount of SIP/month?

Start at age 21. Been increasing SIPs constantly now putting 2.5L per month types…. Also had 3-4 reasonable bonuses that were lump sum
