I took a job at a company whose values I admire, but the day-to-day work is mind-numbingly boring. How do you balance purpose with engagement?

I believed in the mission so much that I overlooked the actual job description. Now I'm stuck doing tedious work for a cause I care about. Has anyone found a way to inject excitement into a dull role?

Does it pay well? How long do you have to work in a day on average? Is it possible to automate parts of your job?

If you're paid well and get (or create) enough spare time, maybe you could spend that on hobbies, freelancing, or maybe starting a business on the side (or even just chill! who's anyone to judge). Might give you the best of both worlds.

Just my 2 rupees, don't take me too seriously :P
