I got rejected after sharing the Aadhar & PAN details. WTF

I was going to join a company in gurgaon. Had 2 rounds of interviews with them and 1 psychrometric test.

Both interviews & the test happened on wednesday. On thursday i got email from HR asking details like Aadhar, PAN card and salary slips etc.

At First I called the HR to share any offer letter or salary details (neither we negotiated), but she said it will all be after i share the details.

Taking it as a win, i shared all of the details.

Now on Friday evening i got an email from HR that they cant move further with my candidature.

I called the HR to find out, she said it is because i failed the psychrometric test. WTF ?

Now i am genuinely concerned if this was scam?
