How to get into Product

I’m a SWE with 2 YoE. How do I get into product management or product ownership at my level? Any advice appreciated.

My personal opinion- Sticking to coding. Better pay, opportunities and demand. PMing isn’t that great of glamorous as the LinkedIn folks would lead you to believe. PMs are struggling to get a job in this market and a lot of PMs don’t even have relevant experience(not their fault).

PS- I am a PM with 11+ years experience and my wife is an engineer with 11+ years experience. I am basing this on our personal experiences
