On such big portfolios I would suggest hedging. When you see markets going down buy some put option or short nifty future etc to control the loss.

I don't do F&O & a lot of shifting in the portfolio. Idea is to buy & sit tight for lot of years or for lifetime.

Original idea of F&O was to hedge only. Lately they've become trading instruments all over the world. Anyway since you're holding for long term , no worries then.
