How important is the ATS score for shortlisting of Resume?

I've been applying for Senior Product Manager jobs and have got experience of 6 years as a developer once and as Product Manager in B2B and B2C sectors. I always get automated responses from companies. I'm starting to wonder if that's because of low ATS scores or something else which is wrong with the Resume.
