How do you enjoy your earnings/money?

I usually buy tab, electronic devices, some good membership( Netflix, YT premium, courses tech + non tech). Kabhi kabhi domestic ghumna bhi ho jata hai.

  • Moved into an upscale gated community

  • Stopped taking buses and autos. Take cabs everywhere and don’t even look at the price

  • Food deliveries every single day

  • Can occasionally buy random luxury products for myself and family

Cutoff your OTT memberships first. Just take one cable TV membership where your family can be used. You should manage finance and remove the word called enjoyment in the name earning. You earn to create a lifestyle for you and your future…

Beer and whiskey. We have a lot more options than when I was growing up.

I have no idea why alcohol is equated to enjoyment. I don't understand what's fun about it

  1. Eat good food. I treat myself to some gourmet places once a week
  2. Drink good liquor. (Confession: old monk is the best, but fucks up your body)
  3. Take a mini vacay every 3 months / or a big one every 6 months. I prefer 2-3 day getaways once every now and then
  4. Get all the OTT subscriptions
  5. Buy good plants and decor for the house (trust me, it feels nice to come to a beautiful home after a long day)
  6. Gadgets are necessities these days, buy high quality ones.
  7. a BIGGGGG TV. It's worth it if you like watching anything at all
  8. Lastly, a good car. If you like driving to work (depending on how the traffic conditions in your city are.)

Iske baad bhi kuch bach jaae, then you can donate to the needy. Create a fixed monthly budget and donate at an orphanage or so.

A biggg tv is not worth it It just gives eye strain and neck pain coz you can't cover all the details at one look and you are forced to move your neck/eyes Also projector>TV, anyday

PS. This is obviously after deducting the investments. You must invest atleast 30% of your take home

Some people can't enjoy their earnings even if they hv 1 Cr+ CTC. Because they never learned how to enjoy life.. They saw money crunch being in a lower middle class family in their early life. It depends what is enjoy for you..if someone like reading book and enjoy it the most then he won't go to la la Vegas to enjoy

Buy for people you love, your family members, your parents. Go out just buy some random clothes and give it to the needy, you will feel happy

Saving, come from a family which lived paycheck to paycheck, maybe that's why when I invest or save fills me up with dopamine for some reason.

Also just giving it away, giving the autowala an extra 20 or 50 doesn't mean anything on large scale but you can see them smile for fraction on a second and that is bliss.

Tipping culture in India is bad, we need to tip better as Indians. Tipping is underrated.

Honestly I don't think we need a tipping culture, we need fair labour laws

If you have 60k+ salary and less on the responsibility side from home, take 25k and invest it in a good mutual fund, after a year or two you would be glad you did that!
