Generally Dec had the highest layoff in some of the orgs, since financial planning happens in Jan with the plan validity till Dec of that year. Now if you are not inline with the original plan, in terms of cost effectiveness, ROI. They end up firing heavily by year end. This year it's strange that they started to fire the shots after December
