Help me choose!

I got two offers from Navi and Razorpay. Roles are similar at both the places. It's just the compensation that is different.

Navi Role - SDE-2 Comp - 40LPA + ~12L ESOPS

Razorpay Role - SSE Comp - 35LPA + 20L ESOPS

Which one should I choose? Also I have heard about a bit bad culture at Navi. Is that right?

Razorpay is not the same company which everyone tells you story about. It became the worst company. Don't ever join Razorpay. Culture went downhill and no good work is there. Lot of office politics. Try giving more interviews and crack other company. Navi is worst too.

Navi ..I don't think it's a great place and worth extra 5 lakhs . And yes whatever those "few bad ones " really highlights the problem and are generally taken as it is. Though it also depends on how you would carry yourself in beginning of Navi. Overall a very high risk to reward ratio.

Razorpay is low balling for sure given they are also a start up ,just a lil bigger. Given it's sse id say try to get one more offer or negotiate using Navi offer to get around 40 or 45 something.

If you were to choose between Navi and Razorpay. Go for Razorpay . Navi is far worse than Razorpay.

@LuxuriousSpecialty did you join rzp, if not would suggest you to check the team and if they are profitable if not dont join silent layoff are happening all year around .

Razorpay is far better in terms of technical excellence, which will guarantee smart people to work with and grow many folds while you continue to work there. Navi is not a tech company, its more like a tech enabled company.
