How common it is to decline an accepted offer? What are the repurcsuions attached to it? Have you guys ever done it? How should I communicate to the company? What should I write in email?

They called me, I said I won't be able to join as I have another offer. They cut the call. That's all!

Were they angry on you?

Yes! The hr coordinator cut the call. But that's fine! They wouldn't have thought twice to fire me when layoffs would have happened. Why should we think about them before joining?

Use chatgpt for the mail. Company will most prob blacklist you, that's the only repurcsuion

I'm blacklisted by a big logistics unicorn(don't want to tell exact name) to interview with them again, because I declined an offer 3 days before joining. It depends on the HR.

HR shouted at me for about 1/2 hour and I deserved it.

You have to ask yourself whether you want to work with the company in future and try to come clean as fast as possible while also making sure you have offers in handy if any offer is rolled back
