Heard Gen-z is facing a lot of mental health issues

As a millenial who was diagnosed with clinical depression and on medication and treatment for 3+ years - it'll be okay. You'll be okay.

But you'll have to stop externalising all the factors. At the core of it -

  1. You've to get your diet and sleep schedule in order
  2. You've to get your micro nutrients sorted
  3. You've to learn breathing techniques to reset your body during panic/ anxiety attacks
  4. You've to stop comparing your life with someone else's - like Naval Ravikant said -

"One day, I realized with all these people I was jealous of, I couldn’t just choose little aspects of their life. I couldn’t say I want his body, I want her money, I want his personality. You have to be that person. Do you want to actually be that person with all of their reactions, their desires, their family, their happiness level, their outlook on life, their self-image? If you’re not willing to do a wholesale, 24/7, 100 percent swap with who that person is, then there is no point in being jealous."

I've not found a single person I want to do a wholehearted life swap with, so yeah. I have 0 FOMO and jealousy in my life now.

All in all, you've got this kiddos. It seems like the end of the world but it's not and you'll make it 💪🏽

Depression is the new buzz in genZ. Looks like it's a FOMO that how come i am not in depression. The truth is , most of them are not in depression, they are just seeking attention and feeling lonely.
Get a hobby, make some friends, play sports and you will not even have time to think about depression.
Social media has just made it look cool to be in depression...

What about people with shitty childhood, trauma, sexual abuse history and people who lack social support? Let's say if a person has to endure these for years and has affected their neurological system and have almost non existent social support, would you think they'd deserve some slack or no?

Arrey bhai it is science - it is neurochemistry
An imbalance or inadequate regulation of serotonin and dopamine causes depression
How is this a lie? Yeh toh chemicals hai jo ki track karte hai.

You know the physical structure of the brain changes for people who have long standing depression? Esp these parts of the brain - frontal lobe, hippocampus, temporal lobe, thalamus, striatum, and amygdala. Yeh toh MRI karke track ho jata hai

Don't choose to be ignorant man, read up about it na before forming such a strong opinion.

I felt sad and disappointed reading some of the comments. Even in today's world when people are trying to bring awareness to how real mental illnesses are, there are still some people who would belittle others and would not agree that mental illnesses are real.

Someone here was saying that cancer is real, but depression is not. But they couldn't be anymore wrong. Just like how cancer has physical symptoms, depression does too. Just like how cancer can collapse your life, depression can too. These people need to be more educated before they start to express their thoughts.

Clinical depression is way more scary than people can imagine. To not be able to do anything, even basic things like brushing, eating, bathing, etc, because your own brain has turned against you is not something to joke about or be taken lightly. These mental illnesses are crippling if not given attention to, and they can do worse when left unattended. Medical help is as much needed in mental illnesses as it is needed to combat with physical illnesses.

With physical illnesses almost all people get inherent support, but that's not the case when it comes to mental illnesses.
I don't wish ill on these ignorant people, but I do wish that life opens up their eyes to the absolute horror that mental illnesses can be.

If you have no FOMO the. yoga is best technique to stop you anxiety. It worked for me. Make sure you get a good trainer. Well I had no issues but I had FOMO not sure what race I was running to win. Health first guys.
