Headline Hyperbole : Is being famous a curse in India?

It's important to remember that Kamath isn't the sole investor in Third Wave. Several other prominent figures/ VC's are involved, and focusing solely on him paints an incomplete picture of the company's ownership.

While Kamath's association with Third Wave is significant, it's important to remember the broader context of the layoffs and avoid attributing sole responsibility to one individual.

No no this is something funding happens over. If you want certain amount, you have to trim costs by certain percentage

Happened in previous org, so people would get sad if the founders discussed next rounding of funding

I understand that 120 people were laid off, and I feel bad for the whole ecosystem but I am failing to understand why it does not say Creaegis who led series C of $35 million laid off people..

Why blame an angel investor like Nikhil!!

Nobody is blaming kamath. This is just a lazy headline.

Bro wtf are you smoking? Being famous is a superpower. If you are famous you can make fucktons of money by selling crap to dumbfucks and live a good life. How is that a bad deal?

Not sure what you were high upon when you wrote this, read the post again! There are 'n' number of examples who have made a lot of money and are not famous or have earned fame after they earned money. Also, making money is not everything, e.g. Nikhil runs a podcast with 0 monetization and does charity at the end of every podcast.

Fame like money is an enabler. Yes there are tradeoffs but if your fame allows you to do net good for yourself and for people then I feel it's worth it

It’s just this website wanted more views, engagement so they can get more readers and ads revenue. So they used a name who is quite famous and also on the trend as few days before only Zerodha founder was trending over the profit and salary taken by them last year.

So it’s just vein on the trend and get more readers. At the end this website also needs revenue to run business.
