Staying in the same company for >2 years out of comfort and justifying it with ‘The longer I stay, the more I learn, which will be helpful whenever I decide to switch, when in reality, I was just a coward afraid that my achievements weren’t enough to land a job whenever I would try to switch

Was just afraid to try, make mistakes and put myself out there in the initial years of employment

Got placed in a top OEM, had a gut feeling that second it would be a mistake to join manufacturing. As usual, once placed in a company you cannot sit for the next. Had to decide, too scared to quit decided to go ahead and join manufacturing.

Thought I could stay for 2 years and then change. Ended up being stuck there for 5 years. People who joined IT with lesser salary than mine , had their pay doubled , even tripled in 5 years. Some even went abroad and settled there. I was chasing truck drivers as part of my job in the supply chain team

I was reminded of this incident from my college placements (my first ofc) Rule was if you get selected in one, you can't sit for others

First day (out of 3) I cracked a reputed company but they gave very very low package. I realised that I'll be stuck starting at this when they did Congratulations!

Took all my courage and went upto HR saying increase the salary or I am not signing offer letter. She went, you sign or not I'm announcing your name in selection anyway. Choice is yours

I stayed in that company for 2 years 😟

Yes, I did, in the mount of fear of losing my job and office politics. I resigned without an offercin hand. Additionally my exp before the recent company has also been of 8.5 months. So eventually, i am stuck with 2months of job hunting and endless tests that lead to ghosting at the end. Applying through referral and what not, but very limited luck. Hoping things get better soon.
