Had a rather average De Shaw interview. What are my odds?

Got a HARD bitmask + bit manipulation + counting question in my screening round followed by some Java questions.

I got the approach right. Wrote the code, but didn’t pass all test cases in HackerRank - prolly due to over counting.

Java questions were super difficult too, but managed to answer around 50% of those.

I’m assuming since it’s Shaw, my chances are slim. What’s your take?

Bit manipulation question should be banned!

It was technically a string + palindrome question but the only way to do it in O(n) was to use a hash map with bit manipulation.

Sometimes when questions are tough, even 50% might be good enough to get hired. Good luck buddy.
