Govt Job Prep vs IT job
With coming AI advancement, US cancelling big contracts, tariff wars, pending recession talks and all the uncertainity which could hit the service sector( IT Jobs in India) badly. Does it make sense to go towards govt jobs?. I am currently a SDE at a AI startup and 25M yr old and window for me is closing. If i want to go in this direction but i am scared if 1-2 prep yr dont panout what then. Honestly i feel my heart is not in doing daily mental gymnastics for a job which even don't have any security.

If you fall under the general category, then government job is out of your reach. Maybe by luck you may get the job. But it is not worth it as promotions will be denied and you will stagnate.
If you don’t want to keep learning, then certainly private sector is not the place to be. Prepare for Govt jobs and move on, there are tons of those, though many of them which are easier to get, may not be as good as private jobs- best is SSC (CGL) I think (not mentioning IAS for obvious reasons). And next best is usual state Govt jobs like teachers etc.
