Got a mail from Google Recruiter(Korn Ferry supporting Google), had some concerns
I got a mail from a Google Recruiter yesterday, mentioning that they have some exciting career opportunities in their tech team based in India (Hyderabad/Bangalore) and they wanted to discuss the opportunities and process on call, and have asked for replying with suitable time for a call and updated resume.
I noticed the recruiter's signature at the end of the mail was "(Korn Ferry) supporting Google".
After some search got to know that Korn Ferry supports recruitment for Google and is one of the third party recruiters.
So my doubts are:
- Is this legitimate?
- Does receiving an email from a recruiter at Korn Ferry supporting Google indicate they are reaching out for a Google Contractor position (employment through Korn Ferry, working at Google), or for a Full-Time Employee (FTE) role directly at Google?
Also I read somewhere that a person got a similar mail, followed the process and eventually got an offer for a job as Google Contractor.
Anyone working at Google or have received mail from recruiter from Korn Ferry supporting Google and followed the process can clarify regarding this?

This is legit. I got hired for FTE in Google by these people last year. This is a 3rd party hired by Google to hire for them.

For FTE, Google calls and emails directly from legit google email ID. So I doubt it is for FTE roles. But no harm in emailing them and seeing where it leads. btw, what was the sender email’s domain?
It was xwf.google.com
The only way to know for sure is to ask the recruiter, it’s most probably for a FTe role

After sending them the updated resume, they asked me for time slot for IPS call. After replying to it, still waiting for it to be scheduled.

Legit. I got a few calls from recruiters affiliated with Korn and Ferry and Randstad. Looks like Google has outsourced most of their outbound recruiting.
